I got a package from purlsoho yesterday with some of the fabric I'm going to use in my quilt squares. I love them already and I haven't even made anything out of them yet.
They're beautiful, Emily. I can't wait to see your squares. I love Purl Soho. Even their ads in the magazines make me want to go downstairs and whip something up. I went to their store a couple of weeks ago when we were in New York City. The fabric store, and the yarn store a few doors down are each about half the size of a room in my house. But they do have beautiful things - and the fabrics are things that I just can't find around here.
Yeah, their stuff is great. The lady at JoAnn Fabrics actually laughed when I asked if they carried Amy Butler patterns. Hooray for the internet! I'm house- and dog-sitting this week so will have a sewing machine for 5 days at Sarah's house. Hopefully I can come up with something for these squares.
Cute, Em! I was going to ask you if you wanted me to send you any patterns or fabric, but I guess it would be hard for you to choose anything without looking. Did you decide on any block patterns? I agree that those Purl Soho ads are irresistable! I went to 7 fabric shops on Wed. on one of those "shop hops" and saw so much beautiful fabric.
