Stealing Craft Ideas

I saw this frame at Anthropologie last month and loved it. It looks like a really easy craft project, too, if you have the right glue. No need to finish the ends if you can just paste them down, right?

This is on my list of things to try someday. Thought you guys might like it, too.

  1. We must be on the same wavelength! I saw that very same frame last week and I've been planning to do it, even gathering materials since then.
We have an anthropologie right next to our Trader Joe's store, so I always go there when I'm grocery shopping. Such a crafting inspiration!

  2. Cute! I have some spray adhesive that's supposed to be useful for sticking fabric to things - I bought it to cover a cardboard box with fabric, but I haven't tried it yet. That could work to just cover a pre-made frame with strips of fabric.

  3. I tried this with decoupage glue and it was a disaster. The fabric looks wet, even after it dried, which made it sort of transparent and you can see through to the botched paint job underneath. I think the spray adhesive might be the way to go. Anything wet is just too messy.
