Friday Night in Cleveland, Ohio

Tonight I went to a Hillary Clinton rally at Brush High School with Kathy, Linda and Susan. Unfortunately, we were not able to get into the school, so we stood out on the street hoping that her motorcade would drive by and we could at least see her. After several trips to the car to warm up our feet, she finally arrived around 7 pm ..... we think. A bunch of cars and a bus pulled up, surrounded by police cars, and we guessed that she was in one of them. All in all, a little disappointing (and I didn't get there at 3pm like Kathy and the girls did!)

  1. One time while Chelsea was at Stanford, Zac and I were driving through Stanford campus on the way to Mom's house from Dad's house. A cop stopped us at an intersection and we waited there for about 15 minutes wondering what the hell was going on. Finally, a bunch of motorcycle cops came through followed by a limo and we realized it must be the Clintons. As the limo turned left in front of us, a hand emerged from a window and waved to us. We were annoyed about the unplanned delay, but spent the rest of the day telling people, "Bill Clinton waved at us today."
    Totally worth it.

  2. Lest you think a political post on a craft blog is inappropriate, notice Linda's hat and scarf and Susan's purse - all hand made.
