cooking = crafting

Because it's lunchtime and I'm jealous of my own dinner from last night, here's what I made:
Roasted eggplant, red onions, red pepper, and yellow squash toasted on parmesan black pepper bread from a great German bakery here called Guglhuph (which I call "google hoff"). It was delish. I think I'll have it again tonight.

  1. Oooh, that looks good, Em. I'm really getting creative with grilled sandwiches. Ever since Pam and I were in Ireland and had their "toasties" I've been making grilled cheese like they do, i.e. no butter on the bread so it is dry and toasted on the outside, and with cheese and onion on the inside (and then I usually add sliced tomato after grilling). Then in Switzerland, I had a Croque Madame sandwich, which is grilled, with some good creamy Swiss cheese and sliced pears in it - it sounds weird, but it's delicious.
